Privacy policy
Effective 9 October 2026 · Eden Logistics, operated by Colhack Labs, Lagos, Nigeria
Eden moves packages across Lagos with verified riders. This policy explains what
personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It covers the Eden website
and web booking flow, the rider app, the business, partner and operations dashboards,
our public tracking pages, and our WhatsApp line. We process personal data under the
Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).
What we collect
- Contact and account data. Your name and phone number. We sign you
in with one-time codes sent to your phone — we never store passwords.
- Delivery data. Pickup and drop-off addresses and landmarks, what
the package is, its declared value, sender and receiver names and phone numbers, and
the delivery timeline including proof-of-delivery confirmation.
- Payment data. Amounts, references and payment status. Cards,
transfers and USSD payments are handled by regulated payment processors — card
numbers never touch our servers. For payouts we hold bank account details you give
us (we display only the last four digits).
- Rider verification data. For riders: identity verification (NIN
check), a selfie match, rider's licence, vehicle registration and plate, and — only
while a rider is online or on a job — GPS location, used for dispatch and live
tracking. Location is not collected when a rider is offline.
- Fleet and business data. For fleet partners and businesses:
registered business names, CAC registration, NIPOST licence and insurance
references, staff contact details, and payout accounts.
- WhatsApp messages. If you message our WhatsApp line or receive
updates there, we keep the conversation so we can run your delivery and support you.
WhatsApp (Meta) processes these messages to deliver them — see below.
How we use it
- To run deliveries end to end: quoting, dispatching the nearest verified rider,
live tracking, delivery confirmation and receipts.
- To verify riders and fleets before they carry anyone's package.
- To process payments, refunds, cash-on-delivery remittance and rider payouts.
- To send service messages about your order — payment confirmations, rider
assignment, pickup, arrival and delivery, refunds — on WhatsApp or SMS.
- To resolve disputes, investigate damage or loss claims, and keep the platform
safe, including fraud prevention.
- To meet our legal obligations as a licensed courier operator.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
WhatsApp messaging
Our order updates and support run on the WhatsApp Business Platform. When we message
you there, Meta Platforms processes the message data to deliver it, under its own
terms. We only send you templated service messages about deliveries you are part of,
or replies in a conversation you started. Reply HELP on the line any
time to see your options, or AGENT to reach a person.
Who we share it with
- Your rider sees the pickup and drop-off details needed to do the
job — never your payment details.
- Senders and receivers see each other's first name and the
delivery status on the shared tracking page.
- Fleet partners see the performance, earnings and documents of
their own riders only.
- Service providers: payment processors, identity-verification
providers, Meta (WhatsApp), and our hosting providers — each bound to use the data
only to provide their service.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect people from
harm.
How long we keep it
Account data stays while your account is active. Order, payment and payout records
are kept for the periods Nigerian tax and courier regulations require. Rider location
pings are kept only as long as needed for dispatch, tracking and dispute windows, then
deleted. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; we will remove everything
we are not legally required to keep.
How we protect it
Data moves over encrypted connections. Access inside Eden is role-based: operations
staff, fleet managers and businesses each see only what their role needs. One-time
login and delivery codes are masked on public pages. Payment card data is held by our
processors, not by us.
Your rights
Under the NDPA you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete
it, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based
on consent. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection
Commission. To exercise any of these, contact us below — we respond within 30 days.
Children
Eden is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date, and
we flag material changes in the product before they take effect.
